To stop inexperienced, ill-informed lawyers from blowing cases, the Republican candidate for Nassau County district attorney pledges that new prosecutors will get 30 days of training.

Rep. Kathleen Rice on Monday endorsed Democrat Madeline Singas in the race for Nassau district attorney against Republican Kate Murray, describing her former top aide as a "tough experienced prosecutor."

Four women’s rights groups endorsed Acting Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas on Thursday in her bid for district attorney against Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray.

Former Democratic Rep. Carolyn McCarthy on Tuesday endorsed acting Nassau District Attorney Madeline Singas at a news conference at which she drew comparisons between her first run for the House of Representatives in 1996 and Singas' campaign.
